IN BRIEF

Considered one of the “holy grails” of LeBron James rookie cards, the 2003 Ultimate Collection LeBron James Rookie Card is considered one of the crown jewels of one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Numbered to 250, this card received a BGS Gem Mint 9.5 with a 10 Autograph. A LeBron James Rookie Patch Auto Parallel numbered to 23 and graded BGS 9 sold for a record breaking $5.2 million, the highest price for a basketball card ever.

THE ATHLETE

LeBron James is frequently discussed as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and certainly one of America’s most influential and popular athletes of his generation. James has won three NBA championships, three NBA Finals MVP awards, and four NBA’s Most Valuable Player awards while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. James is the three-time AP Athlete of the Year and two-time Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year. After winning two championships with the Heat, LeBron triumphantly returned to the Cavaliers and brought the city of Cleveland its first major professional sports championship since 1964, and the first-ever championship won by the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise.

THE OFFERING

The 2003 Ultimate Collection LeBron James Rookie Card is considered one of the crown jewels of one of the greatest basketball players of all time. James has already secured his spot in history among the greats, and he continues to add to his achievements.
The card received the following grades: BGS Gem Mint 9.5. Centering 10, Edges 9.5, Corners 9.5, Surface 9, Autograph 10.
This prominent rookie card is all too rare in high-grade with only 250 total copies in existence and far fewer having earned the illustrious BGS 9.5/10 assessment. This card is numbered 61/250.
The card boasts four crisp corners and perfect alignment. The silver letter inlay is flawless with zero pack wear showing. In addition, the autograph is undeniably pristine and perfectly penned in blue ink.
2003-04 Ultimate Collection Basketball was one of the early products to go with a single-pack per box concept focused on autographs and memorabilia.
Shareholders are limited to $350/investor for the first 15 minutes (35 shares), $1,000/investor (100 shares) for the next 45 minutes. The cap will be lifted after the first hour.
