IN BRIEF

One of the toughest LeBron James rookies to pull from a pack, this highly desirable Rainbow Parallel from Upper Deck’s 2003-04 Black Diamond set features “King James” soaring to the basket above an etched foil background. The asset, serial numbered to 10, is graded a BGS Gem Mint 9.5 with exemplary subgrades, registering as only one of two copies with four 9.5 subgrades or higher.

THE ATHLETE

LeBron James is frequently discussed as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and certainly one of America’s most influential and popular athletes of his generation. James has won four NBA championships, four NBA Finals MVP awards, and four NBA’s Most Valuable Player awards while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. James is the four-time AP Athlete of the Year and three-time Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year. After winning two championships with the Heat, LeBron triumphantly returned to the Cavaliers and brought the city of Cleveland its first major professional sports championship since 1964, and the first-ever championship won by the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise. “The King” then took his talents west and led the Los Angeles Lakers to their 17th NBA Finals victory, taking home Finals MVP honors in the process.
