A historic and rare offering, this bat was used by all-time great slugger Jimmie Foxx during the 1936-37 seasons in which he clobbered 77 home runs combined with the Boston Red Sox. Signed and containing a unique personal inscription, this bat is one of only 29 Foxx game used bats known in existence, and believed to be just one of two signed Foxx gamers. Many collectors view historic game used bats as a low-risk, high upside opportunity following the advent of the game used population report. Recently, a Ty Cobb bat sold for $1.1million and a Lou Gehrig bat sold for $715,120. Graded and authenticated by PSA/DNA. Said Ted Williams, “Next to DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx was the greatest player I ever saw.

Nicknamed “The Beast”, Jimmie Foxx was one of the most dominant hitters of his era. Compiling 12 30-home run seasons and 13 100-RBI seasons over his 20 year career, Foxx captured 3 American League Most Valuable Player Awards, was selected to 9 All-Star teams and took home the American League Triple Crown in 1933. When he retired in 1945, his 534 career home runs were second to only Babe Ruth and the most by any right-handed batter in big league history. For nearly 67 years, he held the record for the youngest major leaguer to reach 500 home runs. His three career MVPs are tied for second all-time. Foxx was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951.
