Considered “hoops’ holy grails of unopened” by Sports Collectors Daily, Collectable is proud to present one of a limited number of surviving unopened boxes of 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite basketball. Deemed a “landmark product”, Exquisite remains one of the most popular basketball card products ever created. 2003-04 Exquisite is the home to the highest of the high-end LeBron James cards, including a record setting $5.2m Rookie Patch Autograph card.


2003-04 contained one of the greatest rookie draft classes in NBA history, headlined by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony. LeBron James is one the greatest basketball players of all time, and certainly one of the America’s most influential and popular athletes of his generation. He has won 3 NBA Championships, 4 MVP awards, and is the 3x AP Athlete of the Year. Dwayne Wade is a future first ballot Hall of Famer. Wade won three NBA championships, was a 13-time NBA All-Star, an 8- time member of the All-NBA Team, and a 3-time member of the All-Defensive Team. Carmelo Anthony is considered one of the greatest scoring forwards of all time. He has been named an NBA All-Star ten times and an All-NBA Team member six times and has won three Olympic Gold Medals.


This offering is a sealed box of 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Basketball. The box is sealed and remains unopened.
An ultra high-end product, Exquisite boxes consist of a single five-card pack in an engraved wooden box.
Sales over the last year for this box include $103,200, $79,200, $61,200 and $55,350.
Unopened product continues to gain in popularity, with many collectors believing it represents some of the most consistent and predictable investment prospects in the hobby.
The LeBron James Jersey Autograph rookie card is the premier card in the set. Not to be overlooked are also rookie cards of Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony.
A 2003-04 Exquisite LeBron James Rookie Patch Autograph sold for a record $5.2m in 2021. In addition, another LeBron James RPA sold for $1.8 Million in July of 2020.
Each box contains one autographed patch card numbered to 100 or less, one signed rookie patch numbered to 200 or less and three other cards numbered to 225 or less.
2003-04 contained a rookie checklist that included autographed cards of LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Bosh In addition, it featured stars of the era like Kobe Bryant and a newly-retired Michael Jordan.
Investors are limited to $500 (50 shares) for the first 15 minutes and $5,000 (500 shares) for the next 45 minutes. The cap will be lifted after the first hour.
